A Fox's tail
Sheffield Hallam university, game design and development, Final major project
(January - April 2023)
My final major project. I revisited the concept of A Fox's tail. With the experience and knowledge I've gained since, I am able to implement features and mechanics I wanted, but could not in the original version. Such as a melee attack combo, ragdoll physics, better enemy AI and hit detection, improved combat system, homing player projectiles etc. I also tried to include more folklore accuracy into the game, such as the enemies being more related to Yōkai from Japanese folklore, rather than generic monsters from the original.
*2D art assets and minor 3D art assets I created.
All the design and programming I did myself (aside from some tutorials as reference but I expanded/built off of). 3D Art assets and animations are courtesy of sketchfab, unreal marketplace and mixamo, but I set it up in engine myself. All assets I am using I obtained for free, but some may not be anymore (limited time free price). I did do some modifications of a few of the 3D assets, such as reducing poly count or making new animations. As well as creating all 2D art assets.
