Project Stroll
University year 2/academic project
(February - April 2020)
A short game demo that I worked in a small team to create as part as an academic project, primarily as a designer. This was the first time I've worked with VR in a game development aspect, and VR project I've worked on. The aim of the module was to create a VR experience that does things such as implying a narrative through the environment, giving a sense of prescence in a VR world etc. I wanted to create a project that gives the player a sense of calm with the bird song and forest environment, before leading to a horrific discovery of what happened.

My contributions:
-
I came up with the high concept (further narrative elements were thought up of by a team mate.)
-
I provided some technical support in setting up the HDRP in Unity, as well as giving suggestions to some solutions as to get things working in engine, such as debugging.
-
I provided some feedback on a design aspect such as player flow.
-
I provided a few art assets in the trees, grass, AK-47 model and decals.
- I playtested the project to ensure everything was working fine.
-
I worked on the level partly in Unity.
